Daily Habits for Successful Healthcare SEO

If you want to blow your healthcare company’s SEO out of the water, it is never a bad idea to see what others are doing.  What is the Chiropractic office down the road doing in order to market their practice?  What about the Dental practice across the street?  It never hurts to imitate your peers, especially if they are doing successful SEO on the daily and it is generating more and more patients to their practice.


The main reason that people are successful with their SEO is that they have good habits they practice every single day.  People that aren’t quite as successful in their SEO probably do not!  Here are a few daily habits to make sure your SEO is as successful as possible:

  1. Study News and Strategy. There are very few things in this world that change more often than SEO.  There are constant algorithm updates as well as changes Google is testing out.  It is imperative that you stay on top of current news and strategies.  There are several great places that you can go in order to find out all of the current news on SEO: Search Engine Land, Google Webmaster Central, Search Engine Roundtable, SEMrush Blog, and Moz Blog.  You can even access a great deal of information on YouTube.  Just remember, there is always something new you can learn.
  2. Review What’s Working. It is important to review what is actually working and what isn’t with your analytics and ranking tools. Do not let your personal feelings dictate what you do.  Do some research on the top search results in Google.  What got them there?  Make a hypothesis, implement it, and see if it works.
  3. Act instead of Talking. Great SEOs do much more than strategizing; they put their strategies in action. Do the research on what you need to do in order to be successful, and then follow through with it. Come up with great marketing projects, set a timeline, and then stick to it!
  4. Continuously Improve Your Skills and Website. Good SEO implementers are always improving their SEO skills through research and practice.  They are also making sure their website content is up to par.  Having a great blog with good keywords, a strong back link profile, good technical knowledge, and great communication skills are all ways to have successful SEO for your healthcare practice.
